Getting to the workshop
RoboATELIER 2026 runs on 30 November 2026 in Tenerife, the day before the main conference opens. One registration covers both.

Confirm before booking
As of September 2026 the conference site names two different places for the same event, and this workshop is not in a position to resolve it. Both are given here rather than one being chosen on your behalf.

The two sites are about 30 km apart, roughly 40 minutes by road. Confirm the room with the local organisers before booking accommodation.

The rule that catches people out
At least one author of every accepted paper must register at the full rate — even when all the authors are students — or the paper does not appear in the proceedings. An additional paper by the same registered author is €100.

The conference publishes this as both the early-registration and the full payment deadline. It falls before this workshop’s own submission date, and the conference has not said how the two reconcile — ask the local organisers before assuming either way.
Travel
Two airports, one of them much closer
Tenerife North
About 28 km from Puerto de la Cruz, 25–30 minutes. Bus €5–8, taxi €35–40.
Tenerife South
About 90 km, 1–1¼ hours. Bus €12–20, taxi €100–120.

Island buses are run by TITSA (titsa.com).

If you are bringing hardware
Demonstrations travel badly, so plan for it
A workshop that asks for working demonstrations owes authors a warning about what that involves on an island.
Power
220 V at 50 Hz, European two-round-pin sockets. Bring the adapter and check that any bench supply or charger takes 220 V — a 110 V-only supply will not work here.
Batteries
Lithium cells above the airline limit cannot be checked or carried. Where a demonstration needs a battery, plan to run it from mains, or source cells locally.
A fallback
Bring a browser-runnable version of the demonstration as well. The workshop is half a day, with no slot to diagnose hardware that arrived broken.
