If the submission date is close and no link has appeared, ask the conference’s workshop chairs rather than assuming the workshop has moved.

Before you write
- Use the Springer LNCS template from the start — reformatting late costs pages.
- Strip your names, affiliations and self-identifying citations: review is blind.
- Page limits include references. There is no separate allowance.
What to send
Three kinds of paper
Page limits follow the main conference, because the conference requires workshop papers to meet the same formatting requirements.
Full paper
12–15 pages
Completed work: a system with an evaluation, a study with results, or a framework with evidence behind it.
20-minute talk
Short paper
6–11 pages
Work in progress, an early study, a focused technique, or a well-argued position with data.
12-minute talk
Demonstration paper
up to 4 pages
A tool, kit or simulator shown running. Bring the hardware or the browser tab; the session is built around things that work, including things that only just work.
Bench session
Pages beyond the limit carry an additional cost. The conference’s call for papers does not say how much, or who collects it.

Format and review
The rules the papers are held to
Manuscript
Use the official Springer LNCS proceedings templates (LaTeX or Word). PDF only. Page limits include the main content and the references.
Review
The workshop adopts the main conference’s double-blind policy: no author names, affiliations or identifying information in the submitted manuscript. Conflicts of interest are declared by every reviewer, no reviewer is assigned a paper from their own institution, and the organising chairs do not sit in the review pool.
Submissions must be original, and not under review anywhere else while they are under review here.
Publication
Where accepted papers end up
Accepted papers appear in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science series, published jointly alongside the ICWL–SETE 2026 post-conference proceedings.
The conference has not yet stated which LNCS volume carries workshop papers, and no volume number or ISBN has been published.
At least one author of every accepted paper must register at the full rate — including when all authors are students — for the paper to appear in the proceedings.

The conference’s wording is that selected best papers “may be recommended for possible extended publication”. It is an invitation route, not a commitment, and the recommendation is the conference’s to make.
The parent conference
ICWL–SETE 2026, 30 November – 3 December 2026
The Joint Conference of The 25th International Conference on Web-Based Learning and The 11th International Symposium on Emerging Technologies for Education. Registration covers admission to all ICWL and SETE sessions, tutorials and workshops, so a registered author can attend the whole conference, not only this workshop. Registration and payment close 16 September 2026.
The conference publishes this as both the early-registration and the full payment deadline. It falls before this workshop’s own submission date, and the conference has not said how the two reconcile — ask the local organisers before assuming either way.
